The Canadian Mobility and Aerospace Institute (CMAI) is a not-for-profit organization (NPO) that brings together mobility stakeholders across Canada. We offer workplace learning activities to current and emerging workers in Canada's mobility industries.
In concrete terms, CMAI and its members—whether SMEs, large corporations, or post-secondary institutions—organize a variety of workplace learning activities, including internships, mini-internships, and micro-internships for students. These practical experiences are complemented by AéroConnecte activities, which allow young people to discover aerospace careers through immersive workshops, as well as our industry scholarship program, notably the $3,000 scholarship offered through Horizon Rail. Together, these initiatives provide students with concrete opportunities to explore the mobility sector, develop their skills, and connect with employers. All these activities are grouped and accessible on SPOT Placement, IMACA's central platform that facilitates posting, managing, and participating in opportunities offered by our partners.

Placement SPOT
IMACA offers its members access to a platform called Placement SPOT. This tool was developed by member companies to facilitate the posting of internships, the management of applications, and personalized networking. Learn more
Micro-WILs
Micro-WILs pair between 50 and 150 students with experts from the mobility industries, offering an immersive experience in their specific mobility sector.
Mini-WILs
In 2021, CMAI launched mini-WILs, an innovative format for integrated workplace learning that places students directly in a work environment to carry out a specific project that meets the needs of the host organization.
Internships
Full-time internships allow students to gain hands-on experience in the professional world over longer periods, typically lasting at least four months.
